Computer Adoption Drives
A lesser-known pollutant to the environment is e-waste (electrical waste). This includes cell phones, televisions, computers, and other devices that are thrown away each year. E-waste makes up 70% of the world's toxic waste. One of Planet Save's bigger undertakings has been to decrease the amount of e-waste in our planet by donating computers and that would have otherwise been disposed and gone to landfills.
The Vanuatu Project
In the summer of 2019, several members of Planet Save traveled to the island nation of Vanuatu. There, we donated many laptops as well as four servers to their community. We interviewed many locals to learn about the environmental issues that their country faces. Planet Save is in the process of releasing an official documentary about the project!
